New PS5 update makes it easier to join multiplayer games

It should now be easier for anyone with a PlayStation 5 to connect with other players. A system software update from Sony has officially been released, enabling you to make shareable links that invite people to play multiplayer games. The functionality was initially revealed by the corporation in early May.

The way the new PS5 update operates is by giving you an app link that you can share with anybody, even if you're not pals on the PlayStation Network. The link is accompanied by a QR code, but Sony cautions that in order for the new feature to function, you may need to upgrade some of your games. One of the best things about this tool is that, as long as you're still playing, the invite link will still drop the recipient into your game ten or thirty minutes after it is delivered. A widget indicating whether players are still playing or have stopped should show up when you send the link on Discord.

Another update that comes with the new share method allows you to use Voice Command to open Game Help action cards. Simply say "Show Game Help," and it should appear. However, players with PlayStation Network accounts in the US and the UK can only access Voice Command (Preview) in English at this time.
